The reason I blog...

"You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and
keep a record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh
your memory of these meaningful, significant things. Some of them may be funny.
Some may be of significance only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly
beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of
special experience."

[ Aspen's 1st Dance Class ]

So I've talked about putting Aspen in dance classes since she was like 3 years old...and for whatever reason I just never did. I finally signed her up for a summer session through Becky's School of Dance and she loves it! I knew she would!! It's a combination class... so they work on Ballet, Tap and Tumbling. It was so much fun to go to the dance store and buy her little ballet and tap shoes...and we had to get her a little dance bag and some cute little outfits too! Here are some pics I captured of her a couple weeks ago...they are not the greatest because they are through the glass...but it just melts my heart to see her enjoying something that I loved so much growing up!

[ Slip n' slide ]

Stephanie's roommate Jennifer invited the kids over to slip n' slide at their house a couple weekends ago...the kids were a little afraid of it...but after seeing the big kids doing it they warmed up a little bit!
These faces are priceless!
They didn't quite get the concept of running and sliding...
so I had to push them down...
...but they loved it!!!
The kids with Auntie Stepho...

[ Pixie Dust ]

Our friend Val decided she wanted to get all the kids at softball super hyper...so she bought them all "Pixie Dust"...also known as 3 feet of PURE sugar! The kids sure loved it though...
Please don't mind Clayton's miss-matched outfit...apparently Dad thinks that red, black, green and orange all go together!

Here they are doing there "pixie cheers"!Yummy!

[ 4th of July weekend ]

We went camping with Joey's family over the 4th of July weekend up near Brigham City. We got to eat at the yummy Maddox drive-in restaurant on our way up there...seriously they have the best fried chicken I've EVER had! And I'm not a big fried chicken fan!

We had a really nice camping trip...i didn't take many pictures of everyone...but i did get a few good ones of the kids...

[ New Look ]

After seeing V and Co.'s adorable header I decided it would be fun to change the look to our blog...deciding to go with something a little cleaner and simpler. I've always loved these mosaic header's and could never quite figure out how to do it myself...but thanks to this website they make it pretty easy! I'm not sure i'm completely sold on the simple blah background...so we'll see how long it lasts...but I do love the header!

I have more posts on their way to share what we've been up to lately...so come back soon!

[ Oquirrh Temple Open House ]

Joey's brother is in town for the week with his family and invited us to go to the new Oquirrh Temple's open house with them. I thought this one was just as pretty as the new Draper Temple...and I was so happy that we were able to go through it! The kids did fairly well...and no F-bombs yelled this time!! It's amazing to see all the detail that goes into making The Lord's house so beautiful! I know I take for granted the opportunity I have to go to the Temple as we have so many close by. I'm gonna try harder to work on that! It's an amazing feeling to sit in the sealing rooms and look into the mirrors that go on forever. I look forward to the day I am able to do that with my family... Here are some pics we took...

I can't get over how pretty she is...Clayton giving Auntie Stepho kisses...Playing in the fountain...Scott and StephanieThe group of us that went...Melissa's parents, brother and sister with their families.

[ Rachel's 1st Birthday ]

My niece (brother's little girl) had a birthday on May 21st!! I can't believe she is already one years old! Time has quickly gone by. I was so happy that they were in Utah for us to all celebrate together! We are sad that they had to move back to Illinois so soon! But we were able to spend about 6 months playing with baby Rachel and her Momma, and a few months with my brother too! Anyhow, I was asked to take a few pictures and instead took about a hundred! (geesh...I didn't even take that many at my kids birthday's this year!) I guess the 1st birthday is the really important!! Here are a few of my favorites...Mark and Amber I will try to get these on a disk and send them your way soon!

Rachel and Auntie Peaches (that's me)
