The reason I blog...

"You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and
keep a record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh
your memory of these meaningful, significant things. Some of them may be funny.
Some may be of significance only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly
beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of
special experience."

Pictures!!

We finally got the kid's pictures taken a couple of weeks ago by a very talented lady, Michele Reyes. She did such a good job with them! She posted these on her blog of the kids...so here is a preview! I'm so excited to pick up the rest of them tomorrow!

Father's Day!

Father's Day started out with cinnamon rolls in bed for Joey and the kids gave him some cute cards! From Clayton

From Aspen...notice her cute picture of daddy...and her interpretation of her name (If you look closely you can see all the letters)!!

We decided to go out for lunch at Joe's Crab Shack with the kids. On our way out I realized I forgot my camera...and Joey's response was that my blogging would go on with out pictures of Father's Day! He just doesn't understand, so unfortunately I don't have any pictures from this day :( Anyways after lunch we headed over to my Dad's house to hang out for a while and then we went to Joey's parent's house for a BBQ.

I ordered Joey's medals for him that he received from his time in the Marine's. We had to order them and get them professionally mounted...so hopefully we will get them soon! I wasn't very prepared this year...so he didn't get to open up his gift :( We are making him a shadow box with his Marine memorabilia, and his medals will be a nice finishing touch!!

Joey is an awesome father and a wonderful husband! He does so much for our family and although I probably don't tell him often enough...I really appreciate all that he does! We love you Joey and hope that you had a Happy Father's Day!

Summerfest!

Another engagement picture (inside joke)...7 years and still going strong!!

Last Saturday the kids and I drove to Orem to see my friend Tara and her cute family! We also met up with our friend and college roommate Christine! It was so great to catch up with both of them!! It had been way too long since we had all been together. Orem was having a parade and fireworks for what they call their Summerfest. Tara's cute house was right on the parade route so we had front row seating! The kids had so much fun watching all the floats and catching all the candy! Aspen especially loved the "princess" floats!! Tara's little boy Aiden was so excited when he caught the toilet paper from the Costco truck! Her kids are so cute! Thanks again Tara...and we definitely need to get together again soon!

Ice Hockey!!

Alright, so summer league hockey has started up again... Joey is playing on the "Twisters" with lot's of his buddies and also my sister Melissa and her fiance Pete. They had a game tonight against "SubZero". It was a pretty good/close game...and they were tied 5-5 until Ryan Murphy (who played highschool hockey with Joey) from the other team scored within seconds of the 3rd period. So Joey's team lost...but they had a fun time! I usually don't get to watch too much of the games...between running after the kids and catching up with the other wives. But we love to go and support Joey...and when we do get a chance to watch- cheer him on!!
My lil sis...Mo in goal!

Melissa'a Bridal Shower

Saturday night we had a Bridal Shower for my little sis, Melissa. We had lot's of fun playing the games and eating yummy food! I can't believe she's getting married in 4 weeks!!

Book Tag

I thought this would be kind of fun!

The rules:
1. Pick up the nearest book (at least 123 pages).
2. Turn to page 123.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the 5th sentence on your blog.
5. Tag 5 people.

"Her face was a mass of wrinkles, all of them turning down into angry lines."

I just started reading this book on Monday and I haven't been able to put it down. I'm hoping to finish it tonight!! I have to agree with most everyone that I thought it was very weird at first...it is so different than her Twilight Series. But after like the first 100 pages or so...I was totally hooked! If you haven't read it and you want to read a good love story, I highly suggest it!

I tag... Marcie, Autumn, Katie, Tara, Lis, Shauna and Melanee (I know that's more than 5 people) and anyone else who's interested!

Scott's Graduation Party!

Joey's brother, Scott, graduated from law school in Washington earlier this month. They came home to visit for a couple of weeks and we had a party to help him celebrate! Congratulations Scott! They are moving to Portland for his new job and we are sad to see them go...but also excited for them. This was the first time our family got to see baby Hannah...and she is adorable! We're gonna miss them so much! Lots and lots of pictures!!

Grampa Ron's House

We went to my Dad's house on Mother's day...I know this is way late! But here are some pics from of the kids playing on the trampoline! It was a fun mother's day BBQ!

Six Random Things...

Okay, so I know I have been terrible at posting lately! I don't know about you but if I get behind on one post, I get in a rut and tend to procrastinate all the others! So I will start with the tag, Six Random Things About Me, and I will try to get the rest on here as soon as I can, so here goes...

1. I was afraid of the water when I was little, but then was on the swim team in high school.

2. Both my pinkies are crooked!

3. I would've been a twin, but the other baby died during my Mom's pregnancy.

4. I love Peanut M&M's and Dr. Pepper!

5. I totally suck at all sport's...except for swimming and dancing!

6. I actually enjoy going hunting with my husband...and can't wait to kill something again this year!

I tag...anyone who wants to do this!
