The reason I blog...

"You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and
keep a record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh
your memory of these meaningful, significant things. Some of them may be funny.
Some may be of significance only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly
beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of
special experience."

Public or Private?

Okay...so I've had lot's of my friends decide to go private with their blogs. And after reading an article about it I have to ask myself should I go private with our blog too? I don't think that I ever give out too much information on our page...but the whole stalker issue with my family/kids pictures kinda freaks me out.

I do have to admit that I love to look at other people's blogs! I have to laugh at myself because I have my own stalker blog list! I look at these blogs regularly and I would be so sad if they too went private. But I know that maybe eventually they will. So I will either have to give them up...or make myself known as a stalker to their blog so they will invite me!

So what do I do? I want people to be able to see our blog and have it be easily accessible for them...but I also don't want people abusing the privilege.

So what do you all think?

For know I will stay public...but if I do decide to go private I will let you know!

Easter!

I'm really slow at posting these...but here are some pictures from Easter. The kids had lots of fun looking for eggs and hanging out with family! They love their new swimsuits and beach chairs that the Easter Bunny brought them!

Chocolate Fudge Easter Eggs that Dad bought the family! They were so cute!

This was supposed to be a cute family picture...but of course it didn't end up that way! Daughter like father?

I love this picture of me and Aspen!!

Hope you all had a Happy Easter!

Crazy Kids!!

The other night the kids got into a garbage bag full of shredded paper. I've been meaning to take it out to the recycling bin and I guess I should have done it sooner! Joey caught the kids right before bedtime pulling it out and throwing it all over the place! They were having so much fun that we let them play with it for a while...after about ten minutes they had it spread throughout the house! It was too cute though!

Don't mind that they were both not wearing any clothes...it was right before bedtime! Also Clayton looks like he could use a diaper change! Lol!

Disney on Ice: Part 2

Here are some pics from the show! We had so much fun going with Marcie and Kylee!

Kylee sleeping peacfully! She didn't miss much though!

Disney on Ice

Last weekend Aspen did really well at her ice skating class. So as a reward we told her that we could go see the Disney Princesses on Ice! She was so excited! We dressed her up in her princess dress and curled her hair really pretty. When we arrived at the ESA she just kept saying, "ooh, look at all the pretty princesses!" She definitely wasn't out of place being all dressed up, there we lots of little princesses everywhere! Here are a few photos from before the show...

She is too freaking cute! I love this picture! It reminds me of Shirley Temple!

Ice Skating Lessons

Sorry it took me so long to post these. Here is Aspen at her first learn-to-skate lesson. She was kind of nervous in the beginning. And she didn't like wearing the figure skates instead of her own hockey skates...she said they hurt her "kankles"! But she was very brave and got on the ice! She was also very excited that her friend Zoe was going to be in her class! Two things for sure is that she has her father's attention span and she's afraid of everything like her Mom!! She ended up coming off the ice about 5 minutes before the class ended because she was crying. :o( She said the ice was slippery and she was scared. She agreed that she would try again next week. I couldn't help but thinking...maybe we should have signed her up for dance classes instead?! There is always time for that in the summer!

Here she is crossing the ice with her walker and her very patient teacher, Brenda.

Here they are doing their puppy dog sits and learning how to stand up on the ice by themselves.

Music

Okay so I just have to explain our music on this blog. This is about the only part of this blog that Joey really gets into. He decided that it was the family's favorite music and not just mine. So he added a bunch of his "classic country" favorites to my "trendy" music! Also he asked Aspen what her favorite song was and she said "Ariel" because that is her favorite movie right now. So Joey made me look up the Little Mermaid and find a song just for Aspen. She absolutely loves it when she hears it and starts dancing in the kitchen! So now you will understand for those of you who get to hear "Kiss the Girl" when looking at our blog!!

Twilight Saga!!

Okay so I'm just a little excited about this movie coming out! I found these pictures and just couldn't resist posting them! For those of you who haven't read the books yet...you need to! Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn (coming August 2nd)! And then the movie is being released in December. It's so exciting to find out who will be playing the characters in the movie! Anyway, hope you enjoy...

Little updates...

There is really not much to post, but since it's been about a week I thought I'd update you all on what we have been doing...
~Aspen has been sick since last Thursday. She has had a fever on and off between 101-103, but with nothing other than your usual cold symptoms. I finally had it and took her in to see the Dr. yesterday. They said everything looked fine and that it was probably just influenza. I sometimes feel like that is their cop out when they can't figure out what they have. But who knows...I'm just a worried Mom! They said if she's not better in 8 days then to take her back in...so we have until the end of this week. We just feel so bad for her because she has no energy to play and she has to take yucky tasting medicine every 4-6 hours to lower her fever. That is the other thing that gets me...how is it okay to give a 3 year old Motrin/Tylenol every 4-6 hours for 8 days straight??? Anyways, hopefully she will be back to her happy self soon! She is so excited for her learn-to-skate classes this weekend, especially now that her friend Zoe is going to take them with her!
~Clayton luckily has not gotten sick...yet! He has been running around keeping us all busy! He is starting to babble LOT'S more and loves to pretend that he is talking on the phone (he must get that from Joey)! He will go in later this month for his 18 month check up...so we'll update you more on that later!

~Joey has been busy working...he is finally off overtime!! He was so excited that he spent a whole day working at the shop yesterday, instead of up at the University of Utah's Marriott Library. He is also getting ready for the bow hunt (a little early I know)...and so it begins!! He worked on his motorcycle and after a little welding and help from Jason he says it's ready to ride. Now we just have to wait for the weather to get better so we can take it out and play!

~As for me, not a whole lot going on. I'm just excited that it is getting warmer...I'm so ready for spring/summer! I just finished reading Dragonfly in Amber the 2nd book in the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon. It was very good and can't wait to start on the 3rd, but I need start Wuthering Heights for our book club this month before I do! Joey pretty much hates me when I'm reading because I tend to forget about everything else, but I'm trying to do better! I need to do our taxes, go to the gym, do a major spring cleaning, and finish doing all the necessary things for school. I'm trying to be excited about going back to school in the fall...but it's hard to get motivated when you've been out of the loop for so long!!

So long for now!!
