The reason I blog...

"You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and
keep a record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh
your memory of these meaningful, significant things. Some of them may be funny.
Some may be of significance only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly
beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of
special experience."

Ice Skating Lessons

Sorry it took me so long to post these. Here is Aspen at her first learn-to-skate lesson. She was kind of nervous in the beginning. And she didn't like wearing the figure skates instead of her own hockey skates...she said they hurt her "kankles"! But she was very brave and got on the ice! She was also very excited that her friend Zoe was going to be in her class! Two things for sure is that she has her father's attention span and she's afraid of everything like her Mom!! She ended up coming off the ice about 5 minutes before the class ended because she was crying. :o( She said the ice was slippery and she was scared. She agreed that she would try again next week. I couldn't help but thinking...maybe we should have signed her up for dance classes instead?! There is always time for that in the summer!

Here she is crossing the ice with her walker and her very patient teacher, Brenda.

Here they are doing their puppy dog sits and learning how to stand up on the ice by themselves.

I'm sure she'll enjoy it more each week. and if all else fails, she'll be a natural at dancing like her mama.

If you would just let her wear her hockey skates she would be just fine. I will have to bring my skates when we come in the summer. I can't wait till clayton get into a pair of hockey skates.
