The reason I blog...

"You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and
keep a record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh
your memory of these meaningful, significant things. Some of them may be funny.
Some may be of significance only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly
beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of
special experience."

[ July...um finally!! ]

Here is how we finished up the month of July...

I had my 26th birthday on the 13th...I got to celebrate my birthday this year with my sister (her mother-in-law threw her a 1/2 birthday...i know SPOILED!) but she felt bad that it was also the day before my real birthday so she got us both individual cakes...which was super sweet! My sister did my hair on my birthday and then we went and got a pedicure...then we went out to dinner as a family. It was overall a really nice birthday...other than the patch of grey hair i found...that was rather sad...good thing Mo has some mad hair skills and covered it up nicely for me!!

We spent the 24th of July weekend in Delta again this year. We love going there and spending lot's of time on the lake with great friends! I always take way too many pictures when we are on the boat...and not enough off the water! In about a hundred pics taken that weekend...i was in only one...and it wasn't a good one! I really need to be better at handing the camera off and being on the other end of the lens! Anyways...here are some pics from the trip...

On the water... The lizard Joey found for the kids at the golf course...

I love the one of Clayton kissing it! The kids loved it...i was freaked out by it!!And I couldn't resist posting CJ's cute little bum!!
Then Joey and I celebrated our 6th Wedding Anniversary on the 28th...i received my favorite kind of flowers...they were so pretty!

[ Update? ]

So yeah...it's been a while!!

I'm gonna try to update you all on what we've been up to since what like the end of July?!!

There's probably a lot...so i'll try not to overwhelm you!

I've been a little overwhelmed myself just thinking about the blog...which is why I've been procrastinating!

But I do think it's important not only for you, but mostly for myself to document the special moments in our lives...and maybe also so that you know I'm still alive!!

So keep checking back...and hopefully you haven't all given up on me and my pathetic blog!

All the love in the universe...

[ Joey vs. Pete ]

Joey had a hockey game the other night and played my brother-in-law, Pete's team. The whole family came to watch and we weren't sure who to cheer for! Here are some pics from the game...

[ Aspen's 1st Dance Class ]

So I've talked about putting Aspen in dance classes since she was like 3 years old...and for whatever reason I just never did. I finally signed her up for a summer session through Becky's School of Dance and she loves it! I knew she would!! It's a combination class... so they work on Ballet, Tap and Tumbling. It was so much fun to go to the dance store and buy her little ballet and tap shoes...and we had to get her a little dance bag and some cute little outfits too! Here are some pics I captured of her a couple weeks ago...they are not the greatest because they are through the glass...but it just melts my heart to see her enjoying something that I loved so much growing up!

[ Slip n' slide ]

Stephanie's roommate Jennifer invited the kids over to slip n' slide at their house a couple weekends ago...the kids were a little afraid of it...but after seeing the big kids doing it they warmed up a little bit!
These faces are priceless!
They didn't quite get the concept of running and sliding...
so I had to push them down...
...but they loved it!!!
The kids with Auntie Stepho...

[ Pixie Dust ]

Our friend Val decided she wanted to get all the kids at softball super hyper...so she bought them all "Pixie Dust"...also known as 3 feet of PURE sugar! The kids sure loved it though...
Please don't mind Clayton's miss-matched outfit...apparently Dad thinks that red, black, green and orange all go together!

Here they are doing there "pixie cheers"!Yummy!

[ 4th of July weekend ]

We went camping with Joey's family over the 4th of July weekend up near Brigham City. We got to eat at the yummy Maddox drive-in restaurant on our way up there...seriously they have the best fried chicken I've EVER had! And I'm not a big fried chicken fan!

We had a really nice camping trip...i didn't take many pictures of everyone...but i did get a few good ones of the kids...

[ New Look ]

After seeing V and Co.'s adorable header I decided it would be fun to change the look to our blog...deciding to go with something a little cleaner and simpler. I've always loved these mosaic header's and could never quite figure out how to do it myself...but thanks to this website they make it pretty easy! I'm not sure i'm completely sold on the simple blah background...so we'll see how long it lasts...but I do love the header!

I have more posts on their way to share what we've been up to lately...so come back soon!
